About Sankatahara Chaturthi

"Sankat" means problems and "Hara" means removing or mitigating. Sankatahara Chaturthi is the day meant especially for eliminating obstacles — it falls on the 4th lunar day (Chaturthi) after the Full Moon during Krishna Paksha (waning moon) every month. Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles, is worshipped on this day.
